Edmonton International Airport, officially branded YEG Edmonton International Airport, is an international airport that serves as the primary air passenger and air cargo facility in the Edmonton Metropolitan Region of the Canadian province of Alberta. It is located 30 km (19 mi) south of Downtown Edmonton in Leduc County on Highway 2 opposite of the city of Leduc, and spans just under 28 km2 making it the largest airport in Canada by land area and the 5th busiest airport in the country by passenger traffic.
